At what stage do you typically get involved?

We begin our consultancy in two common scenarios. The first scenario is when an experienced team has come together to develop a new game studio and is seeking capital or a partnership that will take their first game and studio to the next level. The second scenario is after a younger team has launched at least one game to market that needs advising on how to improve company performance and launch successful titles. All our clients must meet a specific criterion for our methodology to be effective. I’m already chatting with Investors or Publishers, what value can LOC add?

Raising money or finding the right partner for your game or company is a challenging process that involves experience and an understanding of the industry. At LOC we have directly worked with leadership teams and decision makers to help them raise the necessary capital or find the right partnership needed for growth. Our vast network, knowledge, and experience allow us to negotiate favorable terms and larger amounts of capital that would have been otherwise impossible to achieve without assistance. What are your engagement terms?

Depending on the Developers’ needs and preferred method of engagement, we will either work on a retainer or a commission basis tied to performance. It is not uncommon for us to customize the compensation options to accommodate your business goals. Our intent is to work with talented developers while building a long-term and successful business partnership. Ideally, when you grow, we grow and vice versa.

How much time will you spend assisting each developer? Will I get the time I need from you?

We only take on a select number of clients at one time so that each partnership gets our undivided attention. It is not uncommon for us to spend anywhere from 2 to 20 hours per week with each client depending on the level of involvement needed to achieve a favorable outcome. There are times when it seems all clients are firing on all cylinders and our time is stretched thin, but we make it work as we are committed to the developers we work with.
